Happy Birthday Alexander Steven Morgan
Born 30 June 2009 to Joshua and Elizabeth Morgan … in continuation of the long standing trend of “Morgan Boys”. That’s 5 boys in a row … enough for the starting line on a basketball team. Congratulations to all !!! And God Bless You. Wish I was there to enjoy the first days … but Opa will be there in due course.
Lots of the “same old - same old” for the blog today and this week. But, first, I will not likely be blogging on my Friday (USA - Thursday night) as I will be over nighting at the White House taking care of my favorite dog Baby. I will go there directly from work tonight and then straight back to the office on Friday morning. Decy will stay at our house and with the girls.
Decy made reservations for Mistere on Saturday night … for 3 … guess Thasya wasn’t too interested in going to an “old folks” club. However, Chely is up for the challenge - soooo …..
Decy had an absolutely excellent day at the salon yesterday. She had 12 customers which is the most ever (that I recall) during the middle of the week - all associated with the salon, none associated with the yet unopened spa. Of course, it being payday helps. But, it shows and reinforces that the demand is there and growing. Decy said that she had two “high value” customers and the rest were regulars. That’s ok. The regulars pay the bills and contribute a little bit to profits. Its the “high value” ones where the money is being made. Of course, please understand …. we are talking about “Indo relativity” so “high value” means folks that spend $30 or more for a visit. Additionally, absolutely every penny of profit being made is being poured back into the business to build it. Eventually the business will begin “throwing off positive cash flows”. For now, I’m just very proud of Decy for her successful launch and being able to generate positive cash flows to help, in part, with her expansion.
As for me, it was another long, long day …. of course the early morning get up … at the office by 6am … finally shut down and left the office at 845pm - no break for lunch. Sadly, this is the way it will be for the next two months. I am already up over 80 hours a week and it will likely climb a bit higher right before certain deadlines … but much higher is hard to do with the commute to/from home/office.
Speaking of commute, I better close this blog. It is already 5am and I need to write a note to Decy and eat breakfast before going to the office.
Ciao ciao. GBU.
